itsBarbieJane, LLC

I have always been committed to serving the community through education, empowerment, and skills development. Through itsBarbieJane, LLC, I provide accessible workshops and trainings in communication, leadership, conflict resolution, customer service, hospitality, and personal branding—programs designed to strengthen Guam’s workforce and help individuals grow in their careers. I also create free tools, such as business checklists and time-management resources, so people have access to practical guidance and support. Beyond my professional work, I serve the youth in the community by coaching young kids in soccer with the Islanders Futbol Club, helping them develop discipline, teamwork, and confidence on and off the field. I also participate in career presentations for students, where I share my personal journey and encourage young people to dream bigger, build strong habits, and strive toward their goals. My goal in this is to inspire the next generation and contribute to a stronger, more empowered community.

I founded itsBarbieJane, LLC, a training and development company designed to help individuals and businesses grow through leadership training, coaching, and personal development. I am also a District Leader with Primerica, in which our mission is to support families in becoming properly protected, debt-free, and financially independent. I am licensed in life insurance and securities (Series 6, 63, and 26), demonstrating my commitment to financial literacy and regulatory competence. I have created and delivered multiple training programs for organizations in Guam, including leadership development, customer service, communication skills, conflict resolution, hospitality service, and personal branding.  I presented in front of over 200 SHRM members on the topic “Reigniting the Resilient Leader,” providing insight and inspiration to HR professionals and leaders across the island.

As a board member, I will bring my experience in leadership development, workforce training, business consulting, and community engagement to help further GWCC’s mission. My goal is to continue empowering people across Guam to step into their power, elevate their careers, and contribute confidently to our island’s economic future.

My purpose is “to empower individuals and organizations to elevate their performance, lead with confidence, serve with heart, and build sustainable success—through training, coaching, digital products, and community.” At the core of everything I do is a genuine passion for helping people, especially those who aspire to grow, lead, and create better opportunities for themselves and their families.

My work at Guam Windward Memorial allows me to serve our community by providing compassionate support during a difficult time. I've volunteered with Harvest House and supported environmental initiatives like iRecycle. My experience as a legislative staffer in the Guam Legislature allowed me to make a meaningful impact on the community through my work in supporting legislative and grassroot community efforts.

My professional journey reflects a dedication to both growth and community. Within Guam Windward Memorial, I advanced from Administrative Assistant to Office Manager, enhancing the services and groundwork at the cemetery. I grew from an intern at Public Policy Institute to directly working with Speaker Tina Muna Barnes. These achievements are anchored by a foundation of hard work and grit. In 2019, I graduated with honors from Guam Community College with an Associates degree in Human Services. I have balanced career with my home life as a single mother, while volunteering and joyfully serving the people I work for and with.

I will contribute to the Guam Women's Chamber of Commerve vision by supporting the advocacy for equal participation of women in the business community, inspired by the women who have supported and influences my own career growth. I believe that a diverse and inclusive business community benefits everyone and fostering such an environment will positively impact our economy. I plan to lead by example and encourage others to get involved in efforts that promote equality, growth, and sustainability for our island community. Although my opportunities to directly support GWCC's mission are still evolving, I am committed to make a meaningful contribution and grow in this area. With my passion for helping others and my experiences of overcoming challenges and building from them, I hope to inspire the next generation of women to come together, support each other's journey, and drive positive change. I am committed to learning, advocating for women in business, and participating in networking, mentorship, and legislative opportunities.
