I believe in the mission and vision of GWCC, and I believe that I can help contribute to GWCC's vision that Guam's economy will be driven and influenced by the equal participation of women in business by contributing to GWCC mentorship and advocacy.

As a women entrepreneur, I know that I can contribute my insight and experiences to help our members. I hope to inspire more small businesses to grow.

As a GWCC member, I have participated actively with several GWCC committees to share my insights and support of GWCC mission and vision. With the membership committee, I helped support growing the organization by networking and sharing with others the resources that our organization can provide. With fundraising committee, I helped support
our year-long efforts to raise funds towards our goals. With the Fanachu Committee, I provided my support in helping to create an inspiring conference that will encourage women in business. With Government Committe, I provided support wherever needed.

I believe that by supporting GWCC and providing my insights to share knowledge and resources, we will continue to help influence women in business to drive our economy.

I aim to support GWCC’s vision of a Guam economy driven by the equal participation of women in business. In my past professional roles as a small business advisor, women in business program coordinator, and circular economy coordinator, I have been able to connect women with the resources, guidance, and networks they need to grow their businesses and bring their ideas to life. I’ve seen firsthand how vital these connections are to strengthening our community and providing women with the support they need to succeed.

Beyond my professional roles, empowering women has been a personal mission for me. For over 20 years, I’ve volunteered with non-profits centered around female empowerment, working with women and girls ages 7 and up to help them advance in their education, professional lives, and
health. Whether through mentorship, organizing events, or simply being there to guide them, I am passionate about creating spaces where women feel supported and encouraged to pursue their ambitions. This work has been incredibly rewarding and is deeply aligned with GWCC’s mission of
advancing women in business through advocacy, networking, and access to resources. Supporting women in this way is my way of giving back to the community, helping build a future where women’s voices and talents are central to our island’s success.

COO, WestCare Pacific Islands

GWCC’s vision that “Guam will be an island community who’s economy will be driven and influenced by the equal participation of women in business,” is aligned with my values and approach to leadership.

As the Chief Operating Officer at WestCare Pacific Islands, I lead a team of empowered women in positions of influence and authority within the organization. Even in the realm of the non-profit business where a majority of the workforce is made-up of women, most leadership roles continue to be dominated by men. It is paramount that women in business are afforded equitable opportunities to lead and influence our industry and our community. I foster and practice this in my role as COO by creating institutional systems that provide a pathway for advancement of women in their roles through mentorship, training, upskilling, and support.

My goal is to ensure that the women who join our team gain meaningful skills that generate business efficiency, build community relations, respond to community needs, and create positive impacts through the work we do. The output of these efforts has led to the attainment of millions of dollars brought into Guam’s economy through various grants and contracts–all as a result of a team of dedicated women who believe in the betterment of our island. I will contribute this same approach to the women who come to the GWCC seeking growth, community, and empowerment.

With my background in the Trades, I can relate to women trying to find their voice in a predominantly male working environment. As it turned out, the challenges and years of experience provided the drive for me to begin my work on something I was passionate about: Women's Safety.

Because when women feel safe, they can focus and put their best into their work - and our island community will be better for it.

In collaboration with other women in business using our strengths towards a common goal, we can collectively help support Guam's economy in many ways. This is something I hope to continue working on.

I was able to contribute to the GWCC by sharing my skills and working alongside women from other industries during this year's Fanachu Famalão'an, hosting a masterclass in women's safety.

And as a member of GWCC Government Committee, I was able to gain a better understanding on how we can truly be effective by accomplishing our mission through advocacy.
